Good Morning! *Yawn*. It's Monday and fortunately, its off to a great start(.. I can never seem to be up early) Well the past couple weeks have been great. Things have have going great at work and super smooth, which is very much appreciated when you work a ton of hours and you always seem to remember the rougher days than the nicer ones (... Why is that?). So work has been great, speaking of which... after next week, I'll have some terrific news to announce about the Park and Big things happening later this Fall!
So I had a friend over last weekend and was going through some old stuff, and came across a Joe Madureira original sketch of Rogue when he was working on Age of Apocalypse!! That got me on a Joe Mad! kick. I starting going through my old Battle Chaser comics, not wanting to damage the books just flipping through them to read the series again and just to gawk over Joe Mad's ridiculously crazy artwork I started looking online to see if their was ever a collected hardcover edition of the comics. Well there was, and geez. This book ranges anywhere from 75 to 300 bucks, can you believe it! Well I ended up finding one for a reasonable price and it's sealed which is a bonus. But its pretty sweet it comes jam packed with bonus stuff like the preview from the Frazetta magazine, variant cover and more.
I caught a few movies over the past couple of weeks too. Hulk was pretty rad, I could go on about that one but I wont. Overall it was oretty awesome... I'm just curious to see we're the story goes? I watched 10,000 B.C. last night... I dunno, I was dissapointed. I guess I was expecting a little bit more. I'm still waiting for my 2 summer movies and thats Hellboy and Batman.
I picked up Coldplay's Viva La Vida, still need to listen a few more times all the way through but it seems great, but different from there previous stuff.
Aside form by Hard bound Battle Chaser's book I've also come across some other really good books and some great reference books. Gris Grimley's "Wicked Nursery Rhymes" looks great. His art is just awesome! I've also happened upon the Spectrum Volumes, if you haven't checked em out, and your any kind of artist... you should. There jam packed with all kinds of Illustrated artwork thats just Incredible. I've also purchased and am waiting to receive LeSean Thomas and Pac's sketchbooks. Really looking forward to getting those in the mail, cant wait ta check em out. I think thats about it for now... not much art at the moment, too crazy with work. But gotta get dressed for work or I'm gonna be running late as usual. Have a Great Day!
